I know this story is late, but I've always wanted to talk about our night.

It all started with Atomx and I dropping off our daughter to my mothers for the night.

We decided it was a great opportunity to get in this place.

There were heavy fences all around the building, I mentioned to Atomx that there was a small opening on the north side where they 'tried' to fasten it to the exsisting fence.

We stayed in the car and watched the place for a while, and saw a cop car circling the place. I was nervous.

I have been 'nervous' about a place before... but this was my mother's old work. (she transfered to the new Northumberland Hills Hospital) I've been in and out of this building for years, and knew EVERY ROOM.. it was a surreal feeling to be in there, with all the distruction.

I was almost like a tour guide for Atomx, I knew codes for the doors, every room was for, and what went on in this place.

We stayed in there for about 3 hours. It was a different experience that I do not regreat. But I can tell you, it was mighty scary being in a place that you know so well.

It is weird to drive back and see a empty lot where they plan to build a new retirement community living centre.


/Sighs. It was a good day.
