I descended upon the location with high hopes. The Google maps were almost entirely useless as several roads into the area were blocked or no longer cut through. Eventually I found my way up the main drive. The grounds have been subdivided and I was disappointed to see how active the site is. The locals are also extremely unfriendly and will be glad to encourage you to leave even when you are on public roads. Undaunted, I pressed the grounds from adjoining areas and was rewarded greatly.

I spent many hours enjoying the "recreational area" that covers most of the former grounds.

The areas on the right and top, Northeastern sections, are public. The red area on the left is Youth Housing. The green in the center is abandoned/condemned the green at the bottom is the National Guard buildings. The purple at the bottom is a mental health center. And the secure detoxify areas lie on the Sothern boarder of the condemned buildings. The Cemetery is the red area on the left, Eastern side. So many rewarding, without having to trespass, I will have to go back!
