The alarm situation

The little story behind the title of the gallery is such. After tat2d and I explored much of the building, we came upon a tunnel of sorts (though more of a hallway as it was not underground) which lead to an area we had seen before, however was blocked off by a fenced door (which was unlocked but useless still). This room had 2 doors, the one we tried led to an old workers locker room. We entered and snooped around for a couple seconds until I listened in the silence. A car alarm? No... its a repetitive tone unlike a car alarm. Look around, blinking red light in front of the door on the opposite wall.

We high tail it outta there all the while the alarm grows in intensity and seems to follow us as we make our way out. We got out in time to see the Dofasco security making their way inside from the lobby. I'm not sure how far he went in, we were watching from Burlington Street. My assumption is that he simply stepped in the lobby, turned the alarm off and left. Tat2d seems to think the area we were in was very close to where security entered. Both very possible situations. I can say we were given ample time to safely get out of the area however.

Very exhilerating experience, you don't get used to setting off alarms in Hamilton so when it happens its a rush. If you decide to explore this place yourself, make sure you remember this alarm (i suppose its activated by the motion of the opening door).
