I had just purchased my first camera, a Cannon PowerShot A 520, and was trying to figure out what to shoot with it. Well, it had been raining here in New England for about two weeks, and the sun finally came out right before sunset, and everything was glistening and glowing orange.
My girlfriend had introduced me to "the Hopedale Mill" once before over some Dairy Queen on one of our first dates. I've been in obsessed with it ever since. Yeah, usually more than my girlfriend.
I had attemped infiltration once with a friend, but security was present and with it being dark out, and not having boards over the windows, we decided to head elsewhere.

This time, I had a camera, and I figured I'd take a handful of pics and plot my entry. Because the weather was finally nice, a lot of local families were taking walks. I noticed one family taking pictures of the building also, and I decided to ask the locals about the status and history of the building.

I have a few ideas for entry, although I did see someone who appeared to be working at the building for the first time, so I'm not sure what the mill's status is. The local families were helpful, and told me that a town historian had written a book about the Draper Family and the mill. I also took some halfway decent photographs, and decided that it was time to buy a tripod.
