TV, guards, cops and abandoned places

well, yesterday was quite a hard day.
it all started when one of my friends had offered me to take a part in a TV-story 'bout exploring abandoned places - TV journalist Anna has found him through the Internet and offered that adventure. I agreed with one small condition - my face will not be included in that TV story.
first place guys from TV wanted to visit was an abandoned tram-depot (you migh have seen my shots from that place in winter). while shoting part "through the fence" patrol car with few cops had stopped by us, cops had asked what we're doing here, got full answer, wished "good luck" and went away. we've continued and even made few photo-shots of that place when guy in a guards uniform walked to us and said we have no rights to shot this place without permission (I wish we knew this place is guarded...) and we must go with him.. so, Dennis (video-operator) made few "last" pictures an we went to guards office, where we met two more guards who called vice-director of that place - he must decide what to do with us - release or call the police and make them decide.
we've been waiting for this short and fat man for 1.5 hours or so. then he came, shouted at us, and ordered to call the police patrol. I saw that guard who catched us already feels sorry that he didn't let us walk away through the fence - the way we came inside that depot. so, guards called the police and we started to wait. more two hours.. no police, boring place, pretty nice people. I felt I'm getting nervous, so I've decided to find something to do - I've erased old pictures from my flashcards, changed card in my cam and put a card with fresh shots into a bag with my speedlite - don't think they'd take it out if they'll search us - it's quite big and has a habit to jam in a bag. so, my new shots were quite safe.
Anna had asked guards if cops had forgotten about us - so, they've called police once again - to find out that persons on duty had changed and told nothing about their call to new ones. they had a chance to release us. but they didn't use it. so, in 15 minutes came a patrol car. can you imagine? with the very same people who met and checked us at the fence in the morning! they laughed and smiled - so we got a feeling everything will be fine - 'cuse they've said to guards that they must sign an raport about taking responsibility for false arrest ("arresting people against the law") and that directors of that place were told many times that cases when their guards arrest people who walks into a territory is illegal - they must simply take people out with an prevention... anyhow, they've asked us to sit in their car and took three of us (there was 5 of us catched, but, while talking with guards and moving to cars two guys who were responsible for an expencive TV technics had slowly and peacefully walked away) into a police stations, where we wrote some kind of explanations of what we've been doing on that territory, why we've been there and that we weren't going to make any harm. later came two Anna's friends who, luckily, work in a police too. so the procedure of releasing us without anything but taking our explanations signed became more real. we've finished our scraps, gave them to man on duty, he read them, asked us to sign them...
and we were free.
the most suprising thing was that operators were waiting for us .. to continue shoting the story - Dennis had made few shots while we've been waiting for police in guards office and that fact made Anna decide to continue the story. so we went into one more place - really abandoned and unguarded and finished the story.
I made few really good shots, met wonderful people - not only the journalists, but cops too.
so I am happy everything has ended fine.
