Bordon Elementary was constructed in 1922 with significant additions built in 1923, 1933, 1948 and 1949. In 1995, classes were permanently dismissed. The property was sold in 1997 to a developer planning a loft conversion but these plans have yet to proceed. The 48,000 square foot building sits boarded up and simmering, with the most significant damage being delivered by Mother Nature herself.

Wandering the halls and classrooms with their kaleidoscopic textures and colors made me think I’d tumbled down the rabbit hole...
