Escaping The Hospital

While exploring inside this abandoned hospital, scarlett and IanK1968 noticed a truck drive up to the temporary home sales office building located in front of the hospital. Two guys got out of the truck and walked over to a fence about 50 or 60 feet away. I thought by scarlett and IanK1968's excitement that the truck was parked MUCH closer to where we were in the building. We could easily leave via the hospital's back doors but we'd still have to drive out right past the guys with the truck. Plus we had to replace a window before departing to remove any trace of our entry point. The guys with the truck were still there. Minutes passed as these two guys began loading "for sale" signs into their truck. More minutes passed - then IanK1968's cell phone went off, which I was sure would tip off our location. Luckily the noise from their truck masked the cell. More minutes passed as we waited for them to leave. Finally, after what seemed like a half hour, the guys loaded up the last sign into the truck and drove off. We then took the time to properly replace the window pane and made our way out to the back door to where we parked. The back door was frozen shut but once we opened it we were mere feet away from my car. Then a gigantic security dog came bolting out of the darkness. We started running to the car. scarlett and IanK1968 made it to the car but I was pulled down by the hood of my coat by the gnarling and droolling dog. I landed squarely on my back and skull. I froze briefly as I came to my senses and tried to figure out where the dog went. The dog took off then scarlett and IanK1968 carefully helped me up, despite the intense pain in my back. We got into the car, warmed up as we drove off. We then drove to an un-abandoned hospital where I was checked into a room. The doctor took a look at my back and was astounded I was able to walk at all because my spine was partially broken. The next morning, after I woke up, the doctor told me that things had worsened overnight and that full paralysis had set in and that, for safety's sake, my left leg must be amputated. I wasn't sure why, but the doctor insisted. I'm writing this now from my hospital bed with a straw that I blow into to type with. Ahhh, the excitement of UE! I can hardly wait til my back gets better and I can explore once again.
