Building Height Battles/Getting Fry'ed

Funny how in the Las Vegas Sun article posted the following is mentioned:

"The property has been mired in lawsuits about a variety of issues, including disputes over building-height restrictions because of nearby McCarran Airport."

This is either a poorly written article, or another fine case of judical system rhetoric, because right next door is a Fry's Electronics. The Fry's building is easily much taller then the Vacation Village is. I have watched several planes take off, and they easily clear the Fry's building. No close calls, just a smooth take off. What exactly is the problem here? All planes clear both buildings perfectly. Landing is not a problem either, as the landing approach is much different then the take off (obviously)

The Sun is famous here for writing whatever they can fill page space with, so they could have made it up. If it was such a problem, the place probably would have been torn down years ago.

I would be willing to bet they are going to build something huge and more "dangerous" to planes taking off in it's place. Everything in this town is about building bigger and taller.
