What follows below is text from two seperate obituaries for the former owner of this house, Mr. Fred Salomon. Unfortunately, the actual sources are unknown because they were cut from their original newspapers. One is likely from the Bergen Record, and the other is likely from "Our Town". I tried to reproduce them exactly as they appear.

SALOMON - Frederick, 79, of Old Tappan on Thursday, January 22, 2004 [sic]. Beloved husband of the late Gertrude. Loving father of the late Allen. Dear father-in-law of Shari Salomon of Northern Fairfield, CA and adored grandfather of Aaron. A funeral service will be held Thursday 10 AM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (201-767-3050).

FREDERICK SALOMON, 79, of Old Tappan died Thursday. Before retiring, he was an equipment repairman for ABC Studios in New York City. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Arrangements: Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, Northvale.

These two obituaries confirm that he did not, in fact, have any daughters or other close survivors. Furthermore, it came as quite a surprise to learn that he was actually a WWII veteran, as his photos seemed to indicate he was not that old.
