This wall/stage (and the smaller auditorium) was constructed in the 1950's when 20th Century Fox bought the Lyric, re-naming it the Century theatre and turning it into a cineplex. The auditorium is actually built inside of the old theatre, which is why it remains in fairly good condition today. It is completely separated from the structure of the main theatre.
