Description
A bunch of 3/4" U-matic video tapes litter the floor near the main entrance. U-matic used to be the broadcast TV standard tape format in the 70s and 80s before Sony's Betacam and Betacam SP revolutionized the professional broadcast industry. Some backwoods TV stations STILL use U-matic tapes!

Not just backwoods stations. The UPN here still uses 3/4" for everything!

too bad they are beatup, I would have taken only one for my collection. I am (probably too proud) to admit to having a box full of 8 track tapes :) I like odd ball technology.
