correction, there are only 4 of these rooms. I determined this by looking at the satellite photo. Thanks, I'm an asshole.

while I see the four skylights in the sattelite view, you can see in this picture that there are two skylights right there. Which means that if the other room is identical, that would make only 2 rooms. We walked through a lot more than 2 rooms.

My thinking is this. The satellite map was made in 2002, and we know that for many different purposes, the place has been posthumously active. If you note that on the angle part of that upper floor, there are squares of the same shape. Perhaps, those particular skylights were roofed at one point a couple years ago. So that would be your answer to multiple rooms. I do remember going through a little more than a half-dozen of those rooms. Good Call Mr. T.

On the second trip, didn't we count 8-9 of these glass encased "rooms"? And were only 4 of them represented by skylights because they were open-air rooms? Possibly Kirkbride-style therapy going on...

Well, if you look in the overhead shot, there are 9 squares, only five of them are much more faint then the other. Perhaps it's just the way the sunlight was hitting the building, and the way the satelitte picked it up.
