It was actually a gate that came down from the ceiling. There is an electrical room on the other side of this wall where the control switch was. Everything to the left of this door and down the left corridor also marks the 'newer' addition of five theaters. Not sure of the year built as it had been there years before I started working there. Theater 9 at the very end was the largest. I remember because my first set of duties included cleaning it between shows.
