Curious, the yellow "X" is usually used on closed runways at active or former airports. I think it would be difficult to mistake this bridge for a runway..although with a failed engine this bridge would look mighty attractive as a place to put 'er down!

X is also used on roads to mark spots where it's illegal to stop.
