Typical second story ; the windows are oddly placed ; they start 6 inches from the floor. In addition, there is a different street address for the upstairs. Must date to the NL days, unsure about which buildings were used for the Tahawus club, which is nonexistent, but the lodge is still there on the Lower works road, privately owned. Talk about owning a piece of history!

I used to live in an apartment in downtown Scumnectady with windows like that. Great view, if you liked staring at the county lock-up or the back of Proctor's. I still think the upstairs address and outside access was because it was a separate home/family dwelling.

As they say, you can't spell Schenectady without "Shady".
