The underside of the sawmill cutting floor. The water stream that powered the mill is in the beamed area on the far left. The construction seems haphazard and it is. This mill was built in 1855, expanded a few times over the years, partally burned to the ground in 1935 and rebuilt and reconfigured a few times. The beams are solid, as is most of the flooring. Watch out for some loose or missing flooring if wander around on this level.
