Seems to be just the public schools that do things like that.

Yeah. We never had a "hall pass" or anything like that when I was in highschool. If we had to go somewhere, we just went. Nobody stopped you, or asked you where you were going.

Thats the way it is in my school, we have an open campus, so we can go wherever the hell we want.

We have something like that in my school. Well for us its just a piece of paper saying the time date where your going and the teachers signature. We also had to sign in and out of the bathrooms and nurses office. It sucks.

my school had the agenda that you had to get signed as a hall pass too...when I was in grade 9, we had to get a piece of paper on a clipboard signed..then it went to agendas...completely unsanitary if you ask me!

I hated those passes. But I always give my teacher a pencil to use so i can change the date, time, and the place i was going to.

At my school, if you're going to the library, you have to get your agenda signed, then sign out on the teachers clipboard, then sign in on the library's clipboard and get your agenda time stamped, then sign back out of the library when you're done, then sign back in on the teachers clipboard and put the return time in your agenda.
