we have these at work... CP Rail isn't allowed to touch these or the switchtracks. When the railroad shows up to drop off our caustic or acid cars, a chem unloader has to go out and throw the handles

Don't get me started about railroads. I worked on the railroad in BC and there was a rule that a track worker cannot throw a switch for a brakeman. So one day I am shoveling snow out of a backtrack switch and the plow train comes along. Well, I was on acid and didn't get along well with the roadmaster who was on board. They pull up and it s like they expect me to throw the switch. I figure it s the asshole trying to sucker me into breaking a rule so I say I am not allowed to throw the switch. So a brakeman jumps down and throws the switch to the outraged consternation of the roadmaster. I gave the brakeman a wink and he smiled and rolled his eyes as if to say you are lucky you aren't spending the day with the asshole. They went through and the rest of the day was ok.

Charlie, I admire you for being on acid and trying to work. All I ever did was lie on the couch and watch the stippled ceiling move.
