Thanks Rainman. I wanted to show everyone my old home town, even if the only thing visible, besides the mine, was some jack rabbits, and cactus. I plan to go back some year. It been 21 years since i left.

Look in the shed - through the doorway to the top right.

Evil eyes. :-o

  Jawas, or something more sinister.

You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it. Sadly, much that you see in these photos is no longer there.

Damn it looks like a good site. Doesn't seem to be much UE in arizona!

There is Nivelo, but most of it is on government land, or private property, or indian reservations. Sadly, what you see in this photo is now gone! Security on what's left is tight. I would have to e-mail a friend that works there what's left.

There is some good UE in Arizona, I will be showing some of it in the near future.

I know, i used to live in Arizona, in fact, i was born, and raised in this little community not far from this processing mill. Sadly it's all gone now, well most of it.

Great pictures. I read about this town and mine in a book once. Very interesting, and sad.

Morenci can still be found by using Google Earth, but last time i checked, there was not much left there. Ore processing, and smelting is done at other facilities.
