3 / 13   Lake George 61204 004.jpg

Description
gaslight village. That funky rooline is one of reasons I was tipped off. To the west is the village down by Fort william henry. I have old pics of this which I used to ID the location.
Beatiful Lake George. Much blood spilled here for the life we have now.
About a hundred yards out from the beach are sunken British artillery barges.
The boaters on the lake have no idea how close they have come to history.

Heard anything about the radeaus that are sunk in the lake? Supposedly wooden Revolutionary precursors to the Civil War's Monitor/Merrimak style of ship.

I'd rather have my face torn off with a tow truck than walk/drive/be dragged through Lake George during the summer... tourists... blah

About 2 miles north in 150 feet of water, the Radeau was known as a "turtle".

Theres more military hardware in the drink in this once remote place than you can imagine": in Crown point on lake champlain my dad used to dig up musket balls and swords and shit, before the park commision started frowning on that.
