Anyone ever see the Mcnaughton cottage. Well in Ted Rooseveldts time it was privately owned and affilitated with the Tahawus Club. In the day of the Macyntire mine, it was a bank! And if you visit the Adirondack museum, you can see one of the strongboxes. I touched it. As usual everything has a goodfellas reference. As soon as I heard "strongbox" all I could think of was Joe Pesci saying "Where's the strongbox you fu**ing prick!"

The bank was located in the portion of the cottage to the right, before the rest was built. Constructed in the 1830's.
