Description
Mine safety equipment as used in the Moriah "21 mine" on exhibit at the Adirondack museum. Notice the logo "msa" this company, mine safety, is still in business today.
For the fans of Tahawus, and National Lead, the picture behind the mannequin is of the construction of the flotation plant in the '40's.
This pic was taken in the "life in the adirondacks" room. There is a completely separate "mines" building.
All of the equipment here is donated. Given the amount of stuff left at Tahawus, I was thinking about grabbing sixteen or so fire extinguishers and donating!

i donated some stuff to the Town Of Moriah Mining Museum in Port Henry. Some manuals, old aluminum hard hat that my grandfather had. Just stuff laying around. Haven't been in to see if they used it or not.
