  Correct: they tried to demo this buildig but it was a half hearted attempt. THat is whay it looks(ed) as you see it. I f I recall this was well before the current events and was more of an experiment.
Coolest building I ever saw... you could imagine the trains steaming in and receiving the Ilmenite.

  i have a picture of just that... D&H used to get pissed because the ilmenite would blister the paint right off their hopper cars.

  Yes.. I have an old Adirondack life during the skeleton crew days where they tailed the engineer taking the train down to north creek. It involved sounding the tracks with the famous speeders, then thouroughly inspecting the brake lines and other important hydraulic parts because there was a chance that the fucking hedgehogs may have chewed throught the brake lines!
