  It will help with some of the dust, but not with the asbestos, airborn lead, and some of the other really nasty things in there. This is a site where I don't think you can be too careful.

  The only reason that mask won't protect you from everything is because it doesn't make a tight seal against your face...but logically, if it did, it'd work just fine.

  No, it would not. Paper masks are not made out of HEPA filter material.

  You need a N95 mask with hepa filteration which is UL listed but in expensive

  last time I went someone left the fuel tank open and it smelled so strongly of fuel that it burned my poor eyes...I recommend leaving that closed.
