Much safer, I was actually warned about loads of holes in the ground and unsafe flooring, which the snow tends to hide... We found one little hole, 10 cm in diameter, which turned out to be above a basement 3 m deep, and we were standing on a rusty metal plate. But in general the outside wasn't as dangerous as inside.
