It wasn't a big fire, just enough to remove any trace; the tires didn't even melted or burned.

what is always funny with cars/trucks that get torched is that always stamped on the frame somewhere is usually the vin number. depending how sloppy of a job that was done (and this looks sloppy) it may not have been scratched off...

It couldn't have been that much of a fire, it didn't even burn the rubber tires. Sloppy job, I agree

most vin # are mounted on the dash
by the bottom of the window

There is way more than one VIN# on a car....

Yeah. The dash, on newer cars, there's the one on the engine block, usually one on the firewall. Plus sometimes alternatively on the door jamb, or on older cars the fender tag can contain the vin also.

America got this style of truck as the Ford Courier... rotboxes all of them.

no the mazda trucks today are built as fords, in the early 80s the japanese mazdas were marketed as the mazda b series and ford courier, the ranger also exhisted at this time, it was bigger

VW Rabbit pick-up... a rare small truck, based on a rabbit

the Ranger and Explorer were both option packages available on the F100, F150 and F250 chassis. Ironically, they later went on to become vehicles of their own...

now the little Rabbit truck, good luck finding one of those.
