  looking at this pic make me sad :( , you can see in this pic a great company ... back in time ...that was a big part of the economy of the canada . and now ... its a fuckin loft project :( its realy sad ... but time change !!!

  redpath was one of the companies that closed thier operations in montreal after the 1976 election, redpath hung around but they blamed the quebec politics for thier exit. they still have a huge refinery in toronto. montreal in the 70s had 3 sugar refinerys, lantic redpath and steinberg. Steinberg had thier refinery in the canada car building in ville st pierre

  That's one thing I hate about governments. They claim to protect and create jobs. Most times, they end up destroying jobs causing unnecessary hardship for people who work for a living.

  I agree - we're seeing this right now in the US. Our government vetoed the Keystone pipeline which would have created tons of jobs and now it's declared war on coal.
