  That's not that far fetched. Friends of our bought a house and decided to put a patio & gazebo out back. Guess what, a previous owner had sodded over a poured concrete patio. Kinda difficult to dig through concrete.

  I found an old pool in my backyard when I was a kid. They'd just covered it with dirt.
