I realize that the shot is heavily processed. But I love the kind of surreal almost painting like feel to the picture. You can even see the missing windows in the tower. I want to say the Westin hotel ( the round one on the right), but I'm not sure. I haven't lived in the Atlanta area for about 16 years now.

Thanks for the comment Doberlady :) That was the specific intent of this style processing and I'm glad you enjoyed it ! You are correct on the Westin. This was many months after the tornado did its damage.

Thanks linkster, It is indeed a 9 exposure hdr. Message me if you still haven't found this bridge and I'll be happy to tell you where it is and even a few names of the current residents lol.

only related cause of previous discussion, but the Westin isn't actually missing those windows. That happened during the one-and-only downtown tornado a couple years ago. The Westin is skinned in a very specific type of glass, and that particular finish is no longer produced. What look like missing windows are actually just a different type of black glass that doesn't have the same sheen as the original panes. They aren't doing anything about it because it would cost more than they are currently profiting in a year. Hubby works for the Hyatt down the street and curiosity got the better of us one day and we had to go ask the manager about it.

what do you know about the UFO thing on top of the hyatt? Every year i go to dragoncon, i can't even see signs that they use the thing.

I've heard murmurs about re-opening the restaurant, but their heart doesn't seem in it. It wasn't a very good restaurant.

Is the HDR splendid or the composition? There are spot many unanswered questions about your comment.
