D cell blocks, there was three floors of cell blocks like this. On each floor was a common room area where there was a TV, kettle and guards desk areas. This whole set up was very effective since at the end of each of these ranges you could lock a door (back of picture) and contain the inmates to that one area.

These were not D Cell Blocks they were C D cells were used for Detention. You went there before or after going to the HOLE. I was an inmate 66-68

Front of the building contained the oldest A cells, B and C were both dorms three floors each. Including the C4 which was Beef Centre and then kitchen dorms. D1 D2 D3 were cell the blocks shown above. The hole was in the basement.

TV? Not even for the guards during my visit. Not in view of the cell blocks at least. Nope, they would come and mooch newspapers off the inmates.

BTW "Ex-Inmate" must have seen you. Where did you work in '68?
