By the time I made it to this point it was 6 hours after I started, because I took the wrong path. I had such a high respect for the person that put the picture there that the idea of even nudging the picture made me feel horrible. The person who built the shrine obviously intended it to be undisturbed, and I'm not going to the be one to disrespect those wishes. As of the time of this writing, the candles are no longer there, although I'm not sure why exactly. If anyone has any information on the picture itself, message me. The image of me and my friend seeing this from down the tunnel is burned into my mind.

the candles and the photo are both missing at this point in time. A damn shame too. Still a great site and worth hours of exploration. Look for bison tubes with some sort of clues/encryption about the zodiac signs for a nice puzzle.

The woman in the photo is Mrs. Ophelia Snowden. She was reported a Missing Durham Central School Teacher. She went missing around December 16th 1908 after some rather odd circumstances.

One of the most odd stories I've read on UER. Her behavior and the zodiac symbols she drew in her classroom before her dissapearance is bizarre. In the link you sent, there was another story of a similar zodiac case in the Durham region where a man was murdered and had zodiac symbols all over his body, eerily similar to the ones posted all over town (and the ones Ophelia had drawn).
