the car is either a Chrysler Newport or New Yorker, hence that engine is a Mopar. Not a Ford. Not a GM. besides, look at the castings on the intake? GM doesn't do castings like that. Also, look at the plenum on the intake... GM's are not like that and neither are Fords. Also, look at the rocker covers... see how they are humped in the center? Not GM.

That's a 1977 Chrysler Newport with the optional 440 V-8 TorqueFlite, (Chrysler B Engine) and it was available for this car if you found the 400 was not enough "oomph" for you.
