This is the larger dining hall of the two that were once there. The other smaller dining hall became the library. Originally there were benches bolted to the floor here, with a seating surface (round wooded disk) that tipped down on a metal arm. When they went down it was a cluck every time. Later on they tore those out and used unsecured tables that sat four to a table.

Never saw the small tables, after my time I guess. Old big white ones used to seat about eight I think. Loaf of bread on every one at jug up.
