  a few people dont realize the mr63 metro cars, green line, were built here too

  the older metro cars, the ones on the green line the mr 63 cars were built by vickers, the ones on the other lines the mr73 are built by bombardier

  I'm pretty sure that it _is_ a submarine--a quick search revealed that Canadian Vickers did in fact manufacture submarines during the World War I.

  Take a lot at this link, its mostly french, but at your right u'll see a picture of the building of an airplane for the WW2 in the Canadian Vickers, could it be that "hydravion" ?

  In Normand Lester's book it is mentionned that Montreal Vickers also made top-secret low noise submarine propellers at one time during the 80s, IIRC.

  Canada built its own submarines many years ago. Most were built in Mtl.

  yeah but the plane doesnt have that lip the whole length of its body and has no conning tower like this one does

  It's settled.. it's a hybrid plane-marine like the bomber version of the ones in the movie "Skycaptain and the world of tomorrow"
