  I understand it was a powerplant at one time, but I think it's been used as a film studio since it's closing.

  I think they use it for various things. It's been converted into a studio so it's going to be occupied and locked untill whatever company that owns the place goes under or something (unlikely to be in the near future).

  Halifax Film left in the fall when NS Power wouldn't renew the lease.. I don't really know if it's being used anymore.

  I'm currently in NSP's bad books... Which is alright because they've been in my bad books since the mid 90s when our power regularly went out at home.. Now, on my own, I fork out signifcant chuck of my change to them sooo... Yeah, bad books.

  as seen in the picture added by blackbird it was then a sound stage and was where the sinking scenes of the 1997 movie TITANIC was filmed.
