Description
Pharmacie Montreal at 916 rue Sainte-Catherine, circa 1935. A "central downtown institution having 250 employees, 35 trucks making deliveries on a 24-hour basis throughout Montreal, and no doors, because it was open day and night." By the end of the 30s it was the largest retail pharmacy in the world. An interesting sidenote: in the early 1940s, it was the first building in canada to use automatic sliding doors. Today it's a Circuit City. :/

But the facade is still there, isn't it?

I believe it is. But without that sign, it's much less awesome.

Je crois qu'il reste une enseigne peinte sur l'un des murs... vais devoir passer voir ça.

L'enseigne a été masquée par la même couleur de peinture du mur :(
