17 / 25   Mill remains

Description
Below the main building is a large concrete foundation that appears to have housed milling equipment, as evidenced by the machine in the foreground. The machinery could have been covered by a structure, though it may have also been an open air setup. The machine could be a ball mill or gold concentrator.

In the background is the blue structure that first caught me eye from the road and led me to this site. It consists of 5 cascading tanks marked 'carbon' which are heated and combined with cyanide to extract gold and silver from the ore and the solution is then pumped into the leaching pools, the large concrete reservoirs behind the carbon columns. Anyone with an active knowledge of gold milling feel free to explain this process more clearly or accurately.
