There is an raised floor as can be seen from the steel beams on the walls. They were the supports for a gantry crane system, but they stand only a dozen or so feet up. Low for a crane. Also bricked over windows crossing to below floor grade. I guess these modifications to structures are to be expected with older reused places. Why not an ice rink..
