Way cool. My brother told me he's seen foundations of the funicular still on the mountain, but I haven't found any yet.

I've done many research on this, I've manage to locate the path it took. Until the new rearrangement of Park Viaduct it was easily traceable on the field. Foundations are stil there , but barley noticeable

Whereabouts on the mountain? Lower down or higher up? I always figured the funicular followed the line of the stairs on the east side. Is that about right?

Right where I thought it was. I'll have to take a look in the spring, before the overgrowth comes in.

There used to be an electric train that went up the east flank of the mountain too. I've seen the route on maps, but I've yet to see any pictures of it.

Duh. Nevermind. I did a little digging and it turns out it was the number 11 streetcar I was thinking of. What's now Camillien Houde used to be the streetcar right of way.
