the modular stands of the autostade were later all joined together. when they dismantled the autostade they used part of it in verdun (torn down in the 90s) and stade eloi viau in lasalle is made from parts of the autostade too. this stadium was awful for football and the shadfly problem didnt make matters any better

Sadly, I never did get to see any events take place here. It was just a cool decayed place to check out while waiting for my dad to get off of work in the late 70s.

The STOLport around the corner was something else entirely. It sure was weird seeing methane being burned off at the airfield in the twilight hours of the day.

wang if you want to see interesting gas fires check out the superior propane tank farm in cote st catherine on the docks, for some strange reason they flip the huge tanks upside down and empty em that way

I saw Pink Floyd there and an all day show with the likes of Jethro Tull which was good. But Drapeau cancelled what might have been one of the greatest concerts ever in the city.

Like a lot of Montrealers I went down the 401 to catch the Toronto version which was awesome. I had to leave about an hour before Janis Joplin went on stage. She was dead a few months later. Man!

Careful there, Samurai. I saw the Floyd myself, albeit not until the Animals tour hit the Big O. I think.
