Description
The hills in the background were still bare after having been sprayed with Agent Orange in the 60s. They were also littered with bomb craters.

If I remember correctly the Americans said Agent Orange was so safe one could drink it.They even demonstrated by having a GI take a swig.

It causes cancer.

It causes more than just cancer. After Laos I went to Vietnam and saw canned fetuses with two heads, three legs and so on.

So what was the story on that? Did they not test for the effects it could have?

I guess they just didn't care.

After my grandparents died we were cleaning out the garage and came across a bunch of jars of "stuff". Well, after the EPA came in and looked they sent in another group of folks that looked like they came out of the movie E.T. and loaded up all those jars of "stuff". Later we found out that it was agent orange and my grandfather had been using it to spray the weeds around the house and property. Before he died he had been diagnosed wih skin cancer, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's Disease. It was a shock to that much Agent Orange in a civilian's home. Very nasty stuff.

Than again these were the same people who turned a blind eye to dropping napalm on civilian targets and claiming they were fired upon. The point being that it saved the pilots from landing with napalm still aboard and ment that they didn't waste any.

Kids in those third world countries, even where there was no agent orange, are still born with three legs and two heads . . it's easy to blame America for every problem in the world. After a scientific report stated agent orange could cause birth defects its use was halted!

My friends work in Laos and were horrified when they learned just what took place there. They'll never look at the US the same again. Imagine your country being the most heavily bombed place on the planet... with almost as many dropped on that one country as all of the bombings the US did in WW2 combined.
