that big continental can plant was torn down but the concrete floor was still there 3 years ago, was funny a big green parking lot made of concrete with holes every 30 feet where columns used to hold the roof up!

You are talking about the plant on the right? The one on the left is Kraft Canada and still is in operation I think.

In fact, Kraft Foods would be just a bit right of what I'm writing write now. It was not until 1950's that it moved to Mt-Royal, before that it was Kraft Phoenix on Bates Street in Outremont. The outremont plant is still there but transformed into residential condos.
