we work in low-clearance areas and our towmotors still have the roll-cage... i want to say that it's an OSHA requirement to have it now, regardless.

I'm sure it is an OSHA requirement. Clark was the first to put them on their forklifts, in the late '60s. Maybe this is older than that and was grandfathered in. Seems unlikely.

What might be cooler is when the floor can't hold that any more. I wanted to take a picture of me sitting in it. After I spent 15 minutes getting to it, I determined it was more dangerous than I originally thought.

We sat on it. Me: http://www.rupelli...rk/old_clark09.jpg I was thinking the same thing though. Eventually, it's going to be on the first floor in big heap. I'd actually like to go there with some gear and drag it back onto the concrete section behind it. I don't think the floor right behind it would hold though.

Yea I wish I could have. I was there alone and wanted to take a picture on it. But when I set up my camera I realized there was no way I could take a picture and get to it fast enough, safely. So I decided why risk sitting on it.

Ah, yeah. Being alone makes a big difference.
