I appreciated this gallery for the train content, but all I keep thinking is someone's going to get hurt.

??? We were being careful, and I'm sorry, but if you think that about this gallery then take a look at some of the other UER location galleries...thats what UE is all about-- risk. It's our business to determine whether or not we're taking the right risks.

Don't get me wrong, I love the gallery. And you're right, I had forgotten about the danger of entering some old abandoned building, unsafe flooring, etc. Thats as much danger as the sudden movement of railroad cars.

You misunderstand. This is an abandoned railroad bed that isn't even connected to the active tracks. These trains have been sitting here for several years and have basically rusted to the tracks-- they aren't going anywhere, they're abandoned.

Aww okay. The tracks looked in-use, but you can't really judge an active track by its growth of weeds. What a waste of equipment then. By all means, have fun. Wish I could join you.

Yeah, definitely...the trains definitely aren't falling apart or anything, they're just abandoned. Definitely a big waste :-(

The pictures you have posted show several of the road wheels in shiney condition. Those carriages were not all sitting for a great length of time.

I doubt a company would abandon a $50,000 each- railcar- that's a lot of money just sitting there.

Scrap-it if there's no longer a need for it.
