  if I know my human anatomy and Im pretty sure I do, thats a right thumb holding the snake, and if it is your right thumb that means you took this pic with your left hand, a most difficult if not impossible trick with most cameras

  We always called 'em Yellow Bellied Blue Racers. It was a young one.
The Fuji FinePix shoots left handed OK. I set it in my palm and shoot with my middle finger. Moroast might have taken it though.

  Last time I went out there, I spooked a black snake about 4 ft long down into the creek bed. Actually, it probably spooked me more, I haven't been back since.

  Opheodrys aestivus is the scientific name for that snake also known as the rough green snake
