It's an enormous metal cup in which they boil down the juice of the fruit to syrop.

It reminds me of this stuff we get over here. It looks to be fruit syrup put into a strip about 1/16 of and inch thick, than wrapped up and sold as a snack food.

Sweet but very soft and chewy. Most of it comes in apple, grape, and cherry flavor.

They can be found in most grocery stores here. And if you come to Canada, remember that the west coast is nicer than the east coast (where I'm from).
