One of my favorite features of the quarry warehouse's basement are these huge support pillars. They are made out of limestone blocks stacked on top of each other, with one huge limestone slab at the top. I assume the limestone comes cut from the top layer of bedrock on site. I like how they used native materials here instead of resorting to concrete. But either way, these pillars are almost certainly original to when the mine was first opened in the 1800's.
