ya i found this back in december, it has to be the weirdest thing i have ever seen while exploring. Did you happen to find the crutch as well?
Posted by Abstract 1/14/2004 5:55 PM | remove
bah misfit was logged in on my pc, anyways that last post was from me.
Posted by Slickis 1/14/2004 6:48 PM | remove
Note the ace bandage. Sprained ankle on a fake leg, gotta love it.
Posted by TechnoTed 1/14/2004 8:07 PM | remove
It just to cover up the metal stuff too make it less noticeable. I think I remember seeing a crutch in the upper portion of the large barn.
Posted by Abstract 1/14/2004 9:34 PM | remove
ya, i climbed up to take a picture of it, much safer then walking across the top over to it. That top was terribly unstable/nonexistant
Posted by manitou 1/14/2004 10:42 PM | remove
Yeah I didn't trust that floor. I didn't venture too far from the doorway.

  its not a prosthetic leg!!

HAHAHA its a manican leg...for snowmobile boots probably...hence the ben\dy ankle
Posted by TechnoTed 1/25/2004 8:12 PM | remove
Really? I never actually thought of that... but, c'mon, what sort of ghetto store owner puts a bandage on a manican.
Posted by Jedstah 1/29/2004 12:58 PM | remove
to fit the boot better, and not fall over. makes sense.
Posted by Phillips 2/3/2004 11:24 PM | remove
  haha nice leg
Posted by TechnoTed 2/4/2004 5:12 AM | remove
The bandage didn't work. Where's the boot? Huh? Huh?
Posted by NoSuchPerson 3/3/2004 8:24 AM | remove
  The leg is gone.

Posted by TechnoTed 3/3/2004 11:30 PM | remove

  You should be castrated.
Posted by TechnoTed 3/4/2004 11:22 PM | remove
Haha, I'd like to see you try to do that.

Posted by Jesus Jones 3/16/2004 8:19 PM | remove
FOR THE LOVE OF FUCKING GOD. REUBEN MOST LIKELY DID NOT TAKE THE LEG. WILL YOU ALL LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE AND STOP LOADING UP UER WITH THIS BULLSHIT!!!!
Posted by Reuben O Reilley 3/19/2004 12:14 AM | remove
ok well, since you locked the forum thread before I coudl even respond...I didn;t respond because I was on a snowmobling trip on my polaris that I got a new windsheild from the polaris factory there...I did in fact take the leg. The leg hangs on my wall. Clearly ted doesn;t know me very well...seeing as I am a girl and he kept calling me a he.
Posted by -MisfitStyle- 3/19/2004 5:33 AM | remove
Well, that'll teach me to give people the benefit of the doubt.
Posted by TechnoTed 3/19/2004 3:40 PM | remove
  *shakes head* Oh man...
Posted by Jesus Jones 3/21/2004 11:09 PM | remove
Well I feel like a real jackass. Reuben you have violated the unwritten commandment of Thou shalt not take any objects from a site.
Posted by Reuben O Reilley 3/22/2004 4:35 AM | remove
oh no. Im going to UER hell now.

I like Reuben's new custom title: "warning, this person steals from sites"
Posted by Reuben O Reilley 3/23/2004 2:19 PM | remove
I like being the token board bad ass!
Keep it coming kids. It only fuels me!
Posted by Father Maurice Lester 3/23/2004 7:40 PM | remove
that should read "board token Dumbass"
Posted by Reuben O Reilley 3/24/2004 3:31 PM | remove
oooohhh that too! yes yes yes.
Posted by manitou 3/25/2004 3:17 AM | remove
How about a simple banning from the boards?
Posted by NoSuchPerson 3/25/2004 3:39 AM | remove
No, she shouldn't be banned. There's no official "rule" saying you shouldn't steal. It's her own choice. A bad choice, in my opinion, but hers none the less.

imagine seeing that if you were passing by, someone heading out of a closed off house with a leg in their hands... that would look a bit suspicious
Posted by Reuben O Reilley 3/25/2004 4:06 PM | remove
yea I had to walk down the road a bit too since we parked about half a mile down the street.
Posted by Corpse 1 4/15/2004 10:46 PM | remove
If she didn't take it, some drunk teenager would have, or the place would have been demolished and it would have been put in a garbage dump. Get off her case
Posted by Reuben O Reilley 4/16/2004 1:25 AM | remove
  thank-you Mr Corpse.
Posted by manitou 4/18/2004 3:55 AM | remove
On second thought, I don't care that the leg was stolen, as long as it's not in a landfill.
Posted by Abstract 4/18/2004 4:36 AM | remove
I respect your opinion on it but i still care and feel it should have been left.
Posted by manitou 4/18/2004 5:24 PM | remove
If the site were not being torn down I would certainly want the leg to have remained part of it, there is no question about that. However, given the fact that the site is now being demolished I am glad that the leg has been preseved.
Posted by -MisfitStyle- 4/20/2004 6:04 PM | remove
I agree, since the site's being taken down, I'm glad it's gone.
Posted by Abstract 4/28/2004 11:04 PM | remove
being demolished or not, the site is still owned by somebody and therefor so is the leg. you had no right to take it.Just because a building is being torne down does not mean everything inside it many months before before hand is going too. Prove to me the leg was going to the land fill and i will agree you took it for the best.
Posted by -MisfitStyle- 5/2/2004 6:59 PM | remove
  Also a good point.
Posted by manitou 5/20/2004 3:26 PM | remove
It is far too difficult to say what should have been done in this case. Perhaps the ends justified the means here or perhaps the owners are wondering where their leg went.
Posted by TechnoTed 5/30/2004 1:47 AM | remove
Or maybe RR didnt take the leg? Do we actually have any proof that she does indeed have this prosthetic limb?
Posted by Raider 7/14/2004 4:49 AM | remove
Doesn't matter the buildings gone now
Posted by PartyPooper 12/3/2009 5:23 AM | remove
  ...wow...that's some story.
Who steals a prosthetic leg, honestly?! I'll stick to "Take Pictures - Leave Footprints".
