That key isn't for a car, for car keys have teeth on both sides. It's probably for a mailbox or house or padlock

It is for a car nootz. That's an older style key and yes, for a GM. My Nova's keys are identical to that style (76). The rounded key was for the door locks and the square one would be for the ignition. I believe they started phasing that style out in the 80s.

Actually, the two key system continued into the mid 1990's and later on some GM models... My friends 1994 Cavalier had two keys.
