This appears to be a pedestal-type well pump. I wonder if the brewery had a well in an underground aquifer?

This well was for the beer water. There is another identical pump in the basement buried in dirt and trash that I just happened upon that fed the heating system. The heating system not only provided heat for the brewery but also their properties they owned around the brewery (the owned a lot).
